Do you trust The Pill?

My girlfriend started taking the pill and she's really excited about it. Thing is I'm still kind of on the fence about it. As far as STDs go I know she's clean, and she's almost a fanatic about responsibility so I know she'll take them every dayl.

As a guy I don't know much about the the pill to be honest. Yeah it feels a lot better without the rubber, but I've grown used to my saftey gloves. A lot of it has to do with being extremely cautious about cumming inside a girl without a rubber. Am I just being too jittery?

I took the Pill for plenty of years with excellent success. It's very reliable and millions of people use it for birth control with great success. It essentially works by tricking a woman's body into thinking it's pregnant, which means she doesn't ovulate (release an egg) like normal.

These days, the Pill contains much lower levels of hormones than it used to, and to make sure it works, women need to take it precisely as directed: every day and pretty much at the same time every day. The hormone dosages are so low that sometimes with just a single missed dose or even a delayed dose for, say, eight hours, she can begin to ovulate, which puts a couple at risk of pregnancy. So the bottom line is you want to make sure your lady friend who's on the Pill is a reliable, steady type who will take the Pill on a regular schedule as directed. the pill is great, i dated a girl way back when who was on the pill, we 'fucked like stoned test bunnies' and we never had a problem. its pretty safe in my opinion.

Hey thanks guys. You have no idea how much that eases me up. If the pill's reliability comes down to her responsibility level then I'm in great hands. Only thing to worry about now is the crazy shit this is going to do to the spontaneity of the moment

good point man.........i remember this girl and i , we used to do it everywhere. we even did on home plate of the ball field i played baseball on as a youngster. have fun!

but always remember, the point of sex is to reproduce, so talk to this girl about what you want to do in the event that she does become pregnant. and be aware that there is still a risk to becoming pregnant, although it is small. basically just be ready to accept responsibility for your actions.

My last gf was on the pill when i met her, we rooted like jackhammers pretty much every day for a year, never used a condom.

Funny story though, i went with my current gf to the doctor to get the pill, and after the doc gets through explaining everything to her, he turns around, stares at me for a bit, then turns back to my gf and sais, "But this is VERY, important, the pill doesnt protect against std's"
