what will happen if i use a 600 watt hps bulb in a 1000 watt lamp?
A 600 HPS is an S106 type lamp or bulb,it's not meant to be used with a 1000 watter. The 600 is 5.7amps the 1000 is more than that! You could damage the ignighter in the ballast! The risk of fire is great! That bulb is not made to draw that many amps!
