Have you thought about pruning some of the fan leaves off?

I'd definately add the extra light...at the very least you should get better bud development deeper into the canopy...especially if the temps aren't as high as you'd like I'm sure it would even out growth

If I remember right I've read that growing with mh and hps is the best obviously 2nd to sunlight they look awesome though cyc I hope you get your 4z goal per plant

Naa don't prune leaves off that are good. Just bend them out of the way. First harvest the top fat buds then let it go for a bit while the lower ones swell for some nice bottom buds to then harvest that. That will maximize yield. As far as the extra light the cold spell it over and I cant handle the heat of both right now so just hps and some rotation and leaf bending. 2 plants under a 400watt HPS is pretty good as far a light availability. Im going to feed them up until harvest since im going to try a water cure...I may flush a little though.

I like to harvest around 15% amber.

that seems fairly early for a % is there a reason yer picking it at this point? if I remember right the clear headed buzz is supposed to be nicer the earlier you pick them but if you have some experience it would be cool to hear the reasoning behind it ;-) keep up the good work...you need to get a ventilation system goin so you can use the other light and grow 5 or so at a time hehe

Yea...I want to do 6 at a time, plans are in motion for a good setup. Thats my legal limit, I picked 15 because I want just a tiny couch lock effect but generally I want a energetic uppy head high. Your right about it being better IMO. With my WW grow I harvested at the first signs of amber...and the high was very pleasant, but I want to maximize the yield by letting it go a bit longer so the lower buds mature more and get fatter. Plus I use it for a sleep aid.

I want to use Canna Coco as a medium in a cabinet i will build. Ill post my plans when im finished with them. Basically it will be very high growth with little maintenance. It will be setup on a drip system with each pot having a 2' flexible air stone coiled on the bottom of the pot. When I get the medium right the air should bubble the nute up through the pot after it falls to the bottom for max efficiency and O2.

I plan on getting a 600 watt digital ballast for the next grow....I hear they are awesome..like a 1k mag ballast lumen wise. Depending on heat I may need a new fan also, I have a couple 120 CFM in-lines right now that have been collecting dust.

My setup is pretty much open to the room but I want something to control odor and more stealthy just in case. Thats where the cabinet comes in.

that's cool I'm just about to flower my first aero attempt and I'm definately gonna harvest no later than 50% color change...I'm thinkin bout doin it in stages too like you said...I'm still setting up everything I have a lot to build but hopefully I can get a SOG setup goin so I'm not waiting for em to be done for so long you sound like you know a ton about what yer lookin for as far as results so I'm sure yours are gonna turn out killer...are you just growing from seed to finish each time or are you choosing a mother and just cloning her?

I grew my first WW from seed..the Gods gift are from clone and I have a WW mother that I will take clones from. Ill mess with seeds once I start to breed them. Seeds are great for high yield and growth.

seeds produce more yield and faster growth you mean? Today was my first topping and I tried to create a clone with it so I'll see how the plant developes from here...I've seen some pictures but it's rare to get a feel for how a plant will react unless you are there watching it dayin/dayout I was thinking about picking a few mothers and running a continuous cycle with clones...do you have reason to believe it's better to run from seed to harvest every time?

Well seeds will yield more grow faster and have more vigor but count on 1/2 being male...as you know the advantage of clones are speed and you know its gonna be female.

If I had some feminized seeds I would use them every time...just have em ready to go when you need to pop them into flower. It takes much longer from seed than clone but I think the yield is worth it. I seem to remember that seeds have a higher THC % also but im not sure about that one.

Clones are much easier to populate your garden then with seeds.

Thanks for the info Cyc ;-) I actually just checked on the topped portion of the plant that I'm hoping will root as a clone and it looks like the leaves have already picked themselves back up and fanned out so that might be a good sign...I scarified the stem and just followed the instructions I read on the site...I didn't use any chemical or anything besides running the cutting under water for a bit before sticking in the soil...WOOP

Are you planning on running a different grow section to get the seeds from or are you just gonna pick one male to pol the females by just dropping some of the powder on the females close to harvest? I think the first time I tried there was a male in the bunch and it ruined almost all the bud...on the bright side it produced a ton of seeds which are still viable even after a few years
