White Widow Question ?
hi,
Im one day from 8 weeks of flowering ...i decided to go for a quick read and i found this paragraph ..im wondering has any one tried this ...
Flowering Time: On both mediums it is suggested to flower (12 hour light) the White Widow for 8 weeks, but 10 weeks will really give you the crystals you are after. We suggest the final 2 weeks of the flowering cycle to turn the lights off altogether - or at least down to 8 hours. This keeps the flowers from regrowth and stresses the plant into giving up its last drop of goodness as crystal to protect the flower...try it!
anyone shed some light on this ?Gruffy Reviewed by Gruffy on . White Widow Question ?
i have heard of giving them a couple of days of darkness before harvest. i thinks its supposed to make them get more crystals. but wouldnt 2 weeks of darkness kill the plants? i lable stuff like this as wishful thinking. its only going to be as good as its genetics, just my opinion btw.

White Widow Question ?
i go total darkness for 72 hours. it's supposed to help, and does imo, but it's so slight i wouldn't bother if it wasn't sheer habit...

White Widow Question ?
theres no solid evidence backing this up. but best way is to find out for yourself, honestly. I personally never give any odd darkness in the end. I have seen no difference with the same strain, same room, etc.
However, going the extra 2 weeks to 10 weeks total flowering could end up being a wise choice...really depends on the maturity of the trichromes (clear is to young, cloudy is prime, amber is too far along). Everyone has their own idea of whats best for the cloudy/amber percentage but I personally go with just a few ambers showing, barely any. For WW, this typically takes around 9-10 weeks. Its not a fast flowering plant.

White Widow Question ?
i alway go the last 7 days in darkness , and it does make a hell of a difference , it helps tighten up the buds and also makes the shine like hell. this info came from Soma ( soma seeds , NYC DIESEL BREEDER). i have a friend who is a very good friend of his . the reason behind this is the plant in a last gasp attempt trys to produce more flowers so it can get pollenated. now what i would say is it doesn't make the weed any stronger but what i would say is it give u the tight finished buds u are looking for . i grow WW and mate to see her in full glow before u cut her is sumthing very beautiful indeed.
