I diden't think you could get a thread this long about eating sushi! ha ha!
Yes I can eat sushi everday and never tire of it.
I was in Maui and the hotel I was in had a "Sushi Shack" just outside my room and we had it for Breakfast, lunch and dinner with those large Kiren beers.
Just the smell of the ginger and soy sause puts me in a good mood
Aweee crap now I'm in the mood for sushi...go to go

I love sushi though. There's got to be at least 50 sushi places within a 5 mile radius of me, that's not an exaggeration, so I go all the time. My wife likes to get the sashimi which is just raw fish, no rice or anything else, but I prefer the rolls. Spicy tuna and Spider Rolls (crispy fried soft shell crab) are probably my favorites but I pretty much like them all except for Uni and the big salmon egg ones.
The best thing when you're high is to go to one of the sushi boat places. That's where you sit at a long bar with a little river in front of you and little boats of various sushi float by one after another. You just grab whatever looks good. You just gotta watch out though as it's really easy to spend a shitload in those places.

LOL. Did anyone else notice that the sushi platter in post 1 are actually a bunch of USB storage keys?
In NYC Nobu is the place to go if you ever come to visit.
They are also in Malibu and Palm BEACH (?)
Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Robert De Niro own the US ones.
I think they have another in Japan
When we go out for Yellow fin tuna off the shores of LI, we cut out cubes while the girls are still alive. Sometimes the Japanese will buy them right off the boat for $3K or more (depending on size) and ice them while they are still alive and ship them back to Japan.
Now I am hungry.

Wow, didn't realize so many mainland folk loved sushi as well! I live in Hawaii, which has close ties with Japan so sushi is pretty common here but i didn't expect it to be so huge anywhere else. My family is pretty big on sushi because we're Japanese, and man, authentic Japanese sushi is amazing! Now I haven't tried mainland sushi, but Hawaii is supposed to have the best non-japan sushi, but the most expensive sushi restaurants here don't even compare to the normal buffet style sushi bars in Japan, you can only begin to imagine how great the expensive sushi restaurants in Japan are if the bars are that great! The quality, taste, price, everything is just so heavenly. And referring to the Blowfish post, the fish is called Hugu, and I've tried it, I have to say I really really really liked it! And yes it can be deadly but in Japan all the sushi chefs are reliable so people don't even worry about it, if you get a chance try it.

YUM! YUM!
I had some sushi today.
I sometimes like to make sushi at home to. Sometimes I will even use tuna out of the can for different rolls. Very simple.
