Sushi?
I like most types of sushi, but the one thing I don't care for is the texture of raw tuna. I can take the other, chewier, less soft fish, but somehow the texture of raw tuna turns my stomach. Other than that, I like most all of it. But it is awfully expensive. I get cravings for sushi pretty regularly.

I think all sushi lovers have a type that they just can't do... Birdgirl doesn't like tuna. I detest uni, the texture makes me gag!.... To me, eating it is like eating a mouthful of little cat tongues..... Gross!

You're exactly right. It's a really tough part of the fish to cut out and can only be done by an experienced pro with an insanely sharp knife. I catch blowfish all the time around the docks here and have heard of idiots trying to eat them and then dying. Supid bastard fish will bite anything in the water. Even had one get choked on my weight once.

Oh, and the closest I've came to liking sushi was some tuna with some dipping sauce. It was barley seared and red in the middle. It was very tasty.

Sushi, in all it's many forms, is possibly my most favorite dish on this planet and although the taste enhancing properties of marijuana does add to the experience in a positive way, I still enjoy it when I havenā??t smoked at all, just the same.
I'm thankful to my beautiful Asian significant other, for introducing me to these fine Asian delicacies. We hit the Sushi Bar at least 3 times a month on average.
I have fun showing off my unusually high tolerance to spice by taking large mouthfuls of Wasabi, itā??s always a crowd pleaser. Wasabaneros (wasabi on habanero peppers) much more so.

Has anyone else here ever tried Japanese raw beef? Like it's cooked minimally on the outside and is totally raw in the middle, and its cut into thin slices. I wouldn't recommend too much of it but it's worth trying.
