Changing the light level in dreams.
Is there an official dream thread going, I hope no-one minds me starting another one if there is.
I am well into exploring the dream world, and using cannabis as an aid to induce astral projection during sleep. I try to abstain from indulging in sexual activities as much as I can as I beleive this also helps.
Anyway, I'm not going to get into that now. I had an interseting experience last night in a dream Has anyone seen the film, oh I can't remember what its called, but it explores the idea of lucid dreaming. The film is all made with actors, but they edit it to look like animation.
In it they say that you cannot change the light level in a dream, and that this can often alert your mind to the fact you are dreaming and from there you can influence what happens in the dream. Well, this has happened to me twice, once before i saw the film and once shortly after. Both times I had a lucid dreaming experience.
Both times though, before i tried to change the level of light, which was dark, I was not aware i was dreaming. However, rather interestingly, last night i started to become lucid in a dream. THis often happens when I look into a mirror and the reflection of my face looks somewhat different. I was in the bathroom and this time the light was on. I had become aware I was dreaming and decided to test this by turning the light off, only this time by contrast the light actually did go off, and I then started to become convinced again that i was not actually dreaming after all! It wasn't until i woke up and remember that I realised now that it is wrong to say you cannot change the light level in a dream, it seems as though in fact you actually can after all.

Changing the light level in dreams.
hey man... i actually experience lucid dreaming quite often... i remember growing up and talking in classes about how i would change my dreams to be more fun... i thought it was so strange because everyone else told me that you couldn't... i was so confused...
you most definitely can change the light level in a dream... you can turn day to night, night to day, dusk to dawn... whatever!
ipot.. you interested in dream interpretation and stuff too???

Ive tried it, the 2 month period I didnt smoke weed I recognized I was dreamin alot more then if I smoke weed its weird.
But there was only twice that ive actually been able to change things, I would either wake up or it wouldnt change, somthin else would happen and I would forget I was in a dream. I havent tried the light level thing but will definatly!

I find also, that sleeping in not so dark rooms really gives me much more powerful dreams. Something to do with the brainwaves.
Thats why I love sleeping in, becuase you can wake up around nine and then go back to sleep and dream heavily for an hour, wake up, and do it all over again...

i hate those dreams where your being chased, and your eyes wont open, and when they do, its all blurry and it stings... i wish i could change that..
and when you go to hit someone in your dream.. and you punch like a pussy.. i always wake up and go punch sumfin, just to check...
i always change stuff in my dreams, but i dont change the 'lighting' lol

lucid dreaming is no joke
most people i think dont experience
if they did there would be much more talk about this
i am someone who dont beleve in shit unless ive done it or seen it
my friend turned me on to the subject and at first i didnt comprehend
but one night i had this dream and i knew i was dreaming
my friend used to tell me that if you can say your name in your dream
or even look at your hands when your dreaming you will realize that your asleep and take control of your dream.
whatever the fuck i did or just happened but i will never forget that feeling
i flew from the ground to the sky like a bird and i could feel wind in my face
and gravity and i seen the city lights from above
it was awesome and since that day i am so curiuos about the human brainLove is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres
