question about yield
say i have a 10' x 10' room and two 600w hps/mh conversion lamps. (walls painted flat white, Co2 abundant and assuming their well taken care of). If i grow 36 plants how much can i expect to yield per plant? what about two 1,000w lights? Is it a good idea to LST indica dominant plants or is worth it is what im trying to say. and in veg how tall should the plant be before switching to 12/12 for maximum yeild.

question about yield
lst, in addition to topping will mean more yeild with less plants (they get huge!)
as for a per plant basis, it realy depends on too many factors to predict, but i would gesstimate 2-4 ounces per plant, under extremely ideal conditions...
love, brooke

question about yield
and i'm biased with the 600w vs 1000w, i have had a 400, and now a 1000w. the 1000 both does me right with the babies, and heats my house!

question about yield
sorry, for the how tall q, your plants will show when they are ready. it can take four weeks to several months. look for lateral branching (they turn into christmas trees, for lack of a better example) and lack of verticle growth. at that point, you plant has reached its genetic "limit" (which does NOT mean it stops growing or getting taller) and can be flowered for an exellent yeild.

No, Do not flower your mother plant.

you can take cuttings from a flowering plant but they take much longer to root.
You will probaly not be able to find the best indica strains. Why not post a list of the strains you could get.
As well, the best strains are often very hard to grow. So you probaly dont want to drop 300$ on seeds unless you know what your doing.

if you wait for preflowers, yes. clones will usually show sex as soon as they root though; one way of knowing...
