    Crohns Disease and bud

Cool trynagethigh. good luck with that. I completed my first a few weeks ago and it was a good experience. I only ended up with one female and about an ounce of herb (which is already gone!). But it was FUN. I used CFL's and kept it real simple. Sounds like your going for it! Take care!

To make a long story short I smoked bud back in grammar school but had stopped until I was in my twenties when me and a buddy went out and I smoked a joint with him and BAM! my pain and bloating had ceased. I have been smoking ever since. My fiancee refuses to believe what I tell her and insists that I just want to get high. Hell to be perfectly honest I dont think I get high anymore as its not the focus of my smoking. If anyone out there has Crohns then you know this disease is a real bitch to deal with. The pain, diahrrea, blolating, etc. all ceases when I get the THC in my bloodstream, so to answer any questions as to its medicinal value, yes it does calm the intestines and inner GI system by stopping the spasms of the colon and such. I also notice that nicotine does help as well but the bud is what really calms it and I can lead a somewhat normal life. I dont know the medical long term effects of the bud but I will tell you this, as long as it provides me some relief to Crohns I will be smoking it...LOL. People just dont know what its like to have a 24 hour stomach ache you cant get rid of.

#Snap me too. I don't have Crohns but have IBD.

My fiancee is really cool about it I got a vaporizer to cut out the smell and health risks

    Hey Breuke,

Thanks for the info on Celiac. I did a lot of research on it and I think I may get tested for it just to be safe. Much appreciated.

just wanted to bump this thread a little. i have been told by doctors that i have chron's before. i have had 2 colonoscopy's, an egd, and a pill endoscopy. i love getting high. but i am an ncaa athlete and there are random testings and i fear testing positive and then losing my scholarship. i was wondering how often marijuana needs to be used to help chrons. the most i usually get high is once a week.

If you have been diagnosed you really want to have regular visits with a Gastrointestinal doctor (GI doctor). This is not something you want to ignore or pretend it isn't a big issue! (trust me, I try to ignore it but it never goes away lol).

If you are having blood in your stool you should see a GI doctor as soon as you can, if you wait too long you could end up with a colostomy bag. How much you need would probably differ from person to person, but I find I feel best if I smoke twice a day, but if you are not having a flare up you might not need any at all. You should search this forum for help on passing drug tests, there is a lot of very informative threads that can help you with that. Generally indicas are best for Crohn's, but as for the specific strain, well, I know Michelle Rainy loves her Afghani bud, but I've read a lot of good things about Grand Daddy Purple...which I have yet to try, hopefully will get some soon so I can test it myself

Hey Tryna I have Crohn's Disease too. I am unfortuneally doing the remicade. I'm actually allergic to those mouse proteins in it. I've been smoking for about 2 years and it is the only thing that helps with the pain. I told my Doctor what I was doing and he said to keep doing the remmicade also even though your allergic to it. So it sucks.
