Khoa, Michele Rainey is also posting frequently at treatingyourself.com , a medical marijuana site. It's a very good site for mmj users. 420iz, I have a similar problem. I vomit, cramp, hot and cold sweats and so on. And I know what causes mine! SODIUM BENZOATE! The doctors decided it was my gall bladder, even though I was only 26. Fortunately, I read Prevention magazine. There was a gal with the same mess, but she had already had her gall bladder removed since HER doctors decided it was her gall bladder causing the trouble. Well, she still was getting sick the same way! So she began an elimination diet- removing one chemical at a time from her diet. When she eliminated the Sodium Benzoate---BINGO! no more trouble. I tried it and no more trouble. Unfortunately, it can be in wine, for an example, without being on the label. It is found in some sodas, salad dressings, candy, all sorts of prepared foods. You guys might want to try eliminating some of the chemicals in your diets- give it a week or two, might help, won't hurt!

For the studies on Crohns/ IBS and cannabis, there are a LOT of them- just google it! I put in a 10 hour day at work (2 part-time jobs at a school, with only one 20 minute break to gobble down lunch- not a "as usual" day) and I'm just a bit too tired to do it for you all today. - Granny:stoned:

Storm you are right. After being in the hospital I could only eat bland foods for a while and I didnt have as much problems. Diet does have a great deal to do with it. I know I love ice cream but cant eat it or any dairy products. Its a trial and error thing for me, if I find it doesnt bother me to eat it I usually stick with it. Sometimes you just need to not eat solid foods for a day or two and eat a lot of ice to cool your intestines, and give them a break.

Khoa, I did see something with her name in a google search I did last night but havent delved off in to it yet. I definely will.

Wanted to post on this thread and say that my sister has crohns too. She does have a medical marijuana card here in California. It does help relax her insides alot. The pain medications that they prescibe are strong, I think she is on percoset and sometimes oxycontin. But when she smokes, she can take alot less of those drugs.

420izzle, Breukelen is saying some very true stuff about the celiac disease. Scientists are even finding that excessive gluten (mainly wheat) intake is bad for anybody's digestiive tract. I went till the age of 20 not knowing I had it. When I started consuming a lot less gluten my brain didn't feel so fogged and confused, I didn't feel exhausted when I woke up in the morning, the dark circles under my eyes went away, and my digestion stopped being a bitch. Though weed also definately helped all that oddly enough, it seemed to sort of help organize my thought processes in a more efficient way.

you said you dont really get "high"
the same effect occurs with opiates. You only get high if you are not in pain. If you are in pain morphine or w/e acts only on the pain and you dont get high, you just dont feel the pain. (unless you take more than you need)
Sorry harris, but I have my doubts about that. I'm in shit loads of pain every day, all the time, and I can honestly say Tramadol still gets me high. I never use it for the purpose of getting high because I don't want to fall into opiate abuse, but I sure want it for the best pain relief I can get thus far. Anywhoo, tomorrow I'll be trying morphine in a low-medium dose with *cough* a doctors prescription I just got today, so I'll let you know if it still affects me mentally. I get the feeling it will though.

I need to be halfway uncooked cause I run a business from home, but I also need a nice amount of THC as well.

If anyone has heard of any particular strain that is good for this let me know.

Hey man, just so you know the strain is Very important.
This is something the government hasn't realized yet.
I dont know anything about your specific problem but i know that some of the active chemicals work very well for certain things and others do nothing.

For someone on Chemo you want a nice strong indica, because it's the CBD that makes you hungry and sleepy which is what there looking for.

I'd totally check out michelle rainey, she knows whats up. She's got her medical card and i'm sure she's got her hands on a very very good selection of bud over the years, so she probably knows whats up.

If you shot her off an email i'm sure she'd get back to you.
    check on Cannabis Cultures website.

Aso, are you really serious that if you have marijuana in you, there are no symptoms at all? If so, that's pretty amazing.
I haven't been check for this and I will look into it as it's plagued me siince I was 16. Thanks. And, yes, I'm serious about if I have MJ in me I at least alleviate the symptoms most times. Say for example I start getting that feeling - hives coming on, itching in ears like an allergic reaction - I smoke (vape) and take a tums and claritan rapid-tabs and I don't go into anaphylactic shock.

Interesting on the gluten and sodium benzoate....I will certainly start watching for these chemical in what I eat. Thanks mrdevious, storm crow and Breukelen advocaat!

Hope all is well trynagethigh. Good thread here.

Hy 420..All is good here..workin on a grow box over here..gonna be 24"deep x 48"high x 48"long. Im gonna finish the blueprints for it tonight and hopefully can scan the drawings and post them. This may take a few cause I dont use my scanner too often and it gets me all fucked up. Its just an image scanner for pics, etc. Yeah 420 very good info here, and also got some news that Strawberry cough is suppose to be good for CD. Think Im gonna try that and some others. Anything with more THC has got to be better than the crap I have been getting. I get lucky here and there since I have a buddy that goes to L.A occassionally and somehow brings goods back with him and he'll give me some. Im still in the creation stage here cause I want mine built to order for my living situation as smell and heat would definitely be a problem in a 3 flat building and im on the second floor with no venting.I'll figure it out though. If I can figure out whats wrong with GM cars when GM can't Im sure I can handle this. I will put the drawings together and post hopefully tonight. Im building everything from scratch myself. I refuse to pay for something I can build myself as I do construction work on the side. Hell my favorite store is Homie Depot, with them I can make anything from anything. Hmm..I see botany in my future..LOL. By the way, anybody here a botanist or got a degree in botany?
