I believe that the problem stems from outward appearances.

People believe americans this americans that....well most of the 'hate' stems from the government in one way or another.

Americans as individuals are cool folk.

We are fighting this Iraq war and you hear about *everything*. We have lost ~3100 servicemembers since the war started along with about another 3k during 9/11.

Thats under 7500 killed. Does anyone realize that we have 300 million people here? With a foreign view, it looks like Americans are fighting for their survival. You have to realize that we are 'ruled' by a govt where they make the decisions. No american particularly likes politics or politicians....which is evident in our voting %. And truthfully, with the exception of the servicemembers, we don't realy feel the pinch of war.

Now if Al Qaeda was running through the streets of Dallas/LA/NY as well as small town America, you best watch your ass. If the USA falls, it will be because of a big ass nuke cause these keystone terrorists flying planes into buildings don't really make a shit in the big picture.
