I was in both the Marine Corps and the Army. At this point in the war, they need Infantrymen and if you don't watch yourself you will be one. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THE RECRUITER TELLS YOU!! or this time next year you will bustin' down doors in downtown Bagdad.

nice job on the test. i scored a 59 i still remember cause i wanted navy and navy needed something like 45 army like 35 marines like 45 and airforce like 50 ..i think..i did not want the army.

Close, the actual numbers are: Army 31,Marines 32, Navy 35, Coast Guard 36, Air Force 40.

Make sure this is what you really want to do BEFORE you take the test. I thought I wanted to join the air force, so I took the ASVAB and scored off the charts. They told me I can pick ANY job I wanted. It turned out that I didnt want any of them.

That was almost 4 years ago, and I still get calls from recruiters asking me to join because of my scores.

So anyways, depending on what I get on my asvab, Im going to decide what I want to do. After I take it today, Im going to the other recruiters with my score to see who will offer me the highest signon bonus.

Dude don't do that, after you take the test make your recuriter give your 'what you can do job sheet' they may bs and say they cant, but if you insist they will give it to you.

Pick a job youre interested in foreal. the medical jobs tend to be a bit better, even more over seas, psch is REALLY good job, so is psy ops, and shit like that. Youre going to live that job trust me, its not like anything else. You are going to want to do something that you are going to enjoy, and something that gives you a little extra pull.

research your jobs or you'll be pissed in about 2 years. ask anyone.

Either way, it sucks man. Military life would not be for me. I wouldn't make it through boot camp first off. As soon as one of those oversized gorillas yelled and spiut in my face, telling me what to do, well, I'm not having that bro!

I think I got like an 86 on mine, not sure. I took the Navy test, not sure if it's the same one. Basically I was qualified to take any career path except nuclear engineering.
