Sounds like the army might not be a bad deal for you. You can either join up, get some good hard work in, get some experience in something and an education. You might get shot, but if you stay on 'the streets', something worse all together might happen. Besides, if you get shot in iraq, at least you can die with a little more dignity than dying from driving drunk or something.

I wouldn't worry about the asvab unless you really kick it's ass. It's really really easy and the army doesn't care how smart you are. They'll find something for you to do.
benagain Reviewed by benagain on . So Im going to take my asvab... Here at 5pm Im going to take my asvab. I went in yesterday to the Army recruiter, and took a practice asvab. After I was finished, he had a computer in front of him, and he was looking at my scores. He was pretty disappointed that I only scored a 29, but then he realized that those werent even my scores! He went into the back room where I took the test and brought back my computer, to find out, I scored a 64. The Army requires a 30 minimum to join, and anything over 50 is simply Rating: 5
