Growing on land you own.

As an adult, I personally question this whole "guerilla growing", but hey they get bud... My problem is I can't be running around dodging narcs my whole life so my friend is going to be buying about 1-2 acres in the dead of the wilderness I'm thinking about helping him grow.

I know it's really illegal but granted, we will be in the dead of wilderness and it's legitemately secretive. He's building a lob cabin with tools and such while living in a trailer, he's doing it for the experience and he also is a wood worker and wants to live in an all wood house that he built by hand. Either way, he's going to build like a lodge eventually, but until then he's got a few crops growing to live self-sufficiently except for meat (which he'll hunt for and freeze) His uncle knows alot about building and his aunt's helping alot she's a big gardener, and she even grows hydroponic tomatoes. He's going to build a small greenhouse with hydroponics in it (everything powered by solar/wind) for mothers all year round (maybe a few flowering girls under some T5 BLOOM lights) and taking the cuttings oudoor in the beautiful wilderness. He's spent like 1,000$ on saws and materials and is working on getting some property.

Anybody else do outdoor grows on land they own? If so some basic security tips and such would be helpful for what we plan on doing. This is a long-term project but we've talked seriously about it.

I have 5 acres and am planning a couple of outdoor plants this season. My checklist is:

1. Only one or 2 plants per location, 2 or 3 locations - I'm just trying it for the experience, not a huge yield

2. Tie them down so they are not a bright spot of green in an otherwise darker green forest. Low and long is a lot harder to spot than 10' tall trees

3. Try not to check on them excessively, and come in from different directions - otherwise you will forge a trail that leads right to 'em.

4. If ever ??'ed or confronted, deny deny deny, and get a lawyer ASAP, for fear of having your land snatched by some dumb-ass law.

My problem is finding spots that get enough light but aren't in the middle of a clearing. I don't know how conducive light filtered through trees is for our babies, and I don't want them right out in the middle of a flat spot

If you grow on your own land, KEEP YOUR TOOLS AND FERTILIZER AT ANOTHER LOCATION!
Then you can claim it was someone else, and when (hopefully *if*) they search the permises, the lack of cannabis-specific ferts will support that... with the ability to fingerprint chemicals, whatever ferts you use on your cannabis should not be around the house, even if you have a real garden of herbs and veggls, use totally different ferts on them.

The way to get around this is to grow on land owned by the government, railroad, or a utility company. Then you put no one else in danger, and your own property is safe.

IMHO it's a better idea to grow INDOORS at home and OUTDOORS on RR land.
