You can use marine treated plywood. It's treated with a fungicide and very versitle as far as the way you construct the stand. If you are using round pots, then cut round holes in 8 inch wide by 4 ft long strips and lay them across your rack setting the pots in the holes. If square then cut square.Just make sure you put something in the center for support if you don't use the 3/4 plywood.Hope it was a helpful hint!

What is the area you want the stand or stands to cover?? And what is your max hight??
One quick possibility without knowing your set up, you could get those kitty litter boxes that are approx 1x2, drill holes in the bottom, put a 1 in layer of grow rocks at the bottom, opptional and then place another litter box of the same size under that box for run off. Just put something like some3 inch stacks of lego's on all 4 corners to keep the top tray up and you will just have to change the bottem box every 3 to 4 days.
Ever grown in coco before? What kind of coco will you use? I know a few things about coco, so feel free to ask any questions.
In those litter boxes you can put 4 to 8 plants in each one depending on how long your veging for. 6 in each would give you 6 trays and you could move each tray around as you needed to.

I'm not sure what you're planning, but I think you could use eggcrate panels, man. You can get them up to a 1/2-3/4 inch thick, and they're reletively inexpensive. Home Depot, and sometimes Lowe's carries them, and they run about $11.00 for a 2' x 4' sheet.
They are normaly used for lighting, but they make great shelves, too. I'm gonna use them to help drainage, and as a shelf for my hidden Carbon filter, lol!
This is what they look like.. ..just so you get an idea, cool?

UGU, that would be sweet. [email protected]. UGU i saw your Promalin thread on the AN Forum as well as here. I was wondering what the end result was? How was the smoke. I was gonna try and get some from Doco and try it on a few of 'em. I read the thread and that BEASTERS or Gunnaknow was sayin somethin about strains stretching that are more than 30 yrs or something, i have no idae how old my strain is, i got it from clone. What up on one or 2 flood trays.
Junkyard, i went to home deopt today to see what i could convert to a shelf unit. Originally, i was thinking about the light covers, the kinda grid waaffle things, but then I saw some DIY cabinet shelves that i think would be sweet. Oh, i saw the link, thoes are exactly what i went looking for.
Bluebear: To answer your ?s, Max height, not really an issue, i have 7 feet. I went to HD today and just figured out i will use PVC pipe and make a stand. It will be fuin. And I have never grown ic coco before. I just transplanted 1 clone into as an experiment. Side by side with promix. We'll see the results. Ive never grow in coco before, but ive been doing my homework, and have 2 months to get ready. I will get canna coco, as i can pick it up mearby, right now for the clone i used the GH cocotek brick.
i have a hydro hut 52 x 52. I have 6x6 with 8.5" square pots.

As soon as my friend is back from vegas I will find out what he wants for them. As far as the promalin goes the end result was a lot more weight some strains love it more than others. It hasn't ruined anything yet but 1 of my strain I sprayed twice it just ended up a little less potent spraying once I have seen no loss in potency. I did get more strech than normal but it wasn't that bad and that could be just because I am so use to using phosphload that stops strech that what I expierenced was normal so its hard to say. I would probaly do a test plant just incase.
