Hi. I am a new grower, and I also like vegetables and fruit. If I grow fruit and veggies in my indoor hydroponic garden with marijuana, is there a chance of the marijuana getting pollinated by, say, cucumbers or watermelon?

    Thanks in advance.

Don't worry, they are not closely related enough to produce seeds at all if that happens, even sterile ones!
I can only imagine your indoor garden with cukes and melons, vines everywhere!!!! Pics!!!

hehehe.. true dat. But got me to thinking... Are there any plants capable of cross-fertilization with cannabis? (I.e.,tigers & lions, donkeys & zebras, etc) I remember reading something about hops long ago? But that may have been grafting.

I doubt that even hops could produce any seeds with cannabis... yeah they are closely related... but one is a prennial vine, and one is an annual soft herbaceous plant.
lol when [if!] my hops flower in the fall I'll do a test... remind me.

Thanks alot for the info. When my garden gets up and running, I'll let you know. My set up is as follows:

One 4' x 2' planter with grooves leading to two nozzles on the ends for drainage. I'll be using a drip system to start with. I have a large reservoir which I fitted a nozzle near the bottom so I can later convert the drip irrigation to ebb and flow if need be (I have some extensions for the nozzles in the planter so I can turn both drainage nozzles into one intake and one overflow line. I have 4 12" airstones with pumps. I am starting using rockwool, first in 1.5" cubes and then into larger 4" cubes. From there, I have 2 gallon pots that fit nicely in the planter. My medium will be higromite for the cannabis and probably hydroton (cheaper) for the veggies and fruit.

I have one 125W 6400K CFL, one 105W 5000K CFL, one 65W 2700K CFL and one 65W 6400K CFL. I'd like to get another red spectrum light for flowering.

This is all in my white-matte walk in closet. If I need to, I'll set up another system and I can section the closet into a flowering and a vegetative room.

I'm planning on growing the following:

    Alpine Yellow Strawberries
    Watermelon Cucumbers
    White Cucumbers
    Persian Cucumbers
    Garlic Chives
    Lemon Basil
    Little Gem Lettuce
    Assorted Heirloom Tomatoes
Miracle Fruit(a fruit which has little taste, but when the juice is spread over the tongue, it heightens the taste buds for a few hours)
    And of course... Northern Lights.

Yeah, it's one of those heirloom lettuces. Except you don't shred this up in your salad, you shred it up into a piece of paper, and then light it on fire and inhale the smoke. You have to eat the tomatoes and onions separately. Seems like a pain in the butt, I know, but hey, if Miracle Fruit got on my grow list, I might as well try it...

So let me get this straight:
    You eat the vegetable MSG
Shred the heirloom lettuce into paper
    Inhale it
    Wait 20 minutes
And then devour all the rest of your vegetables in one sitting, made more enjoyable by the veggie MSG?
    lol

That's about the long and short of it. I thought it'd be awesome to try out the "veggie MSG" with smoking.
