Mugen... memory? The raven? Good username and welcome.

I would recommend just going with the basics, good cool white CFLs for overhead lights and maybe if you can fit them in, some little aquarium-sized tube flouros for the sides.

And since you are growing in an old computer rather than a closet or whatnot I suspect you live with parents or roommates and thus feel compelled to remind you that the other inhabitants of your house should be aware of your grow. Just a courtesy...

Yo man, let me tell ya first i am no pro but ill tell ya as much as i know. im not saying those lights are bad but i think personally i would go with Compact Flourecents Lights. this is what i use. they are cheap and very energy efficient, also have a good watt to lumen ratio. i think that light is a type of cfl but you can get different ones at like walmart or home depot for like 8 bucks a pair. if your tryin to save loot i think this will be your cheapest and most efficent lighting. again im no pro just my opinion but i hope it helps ya out. Good luck. oh heres a pic of my baby at 9 weeks from seed under cfl's. i was using tube flourecents then switched and saw amazing results.

CFLs do not have a great watt/lumen ratio (60-65 LPW). But, they are compact, so you can a lot of the light onto the plant where on a 4' tube (85-95 LPW) it may be difficult to get most of the tube close to the plant. HPS are 90-120+ LPW.

Agreed I think most of the people are just use to pushing everything but cfl. I just replaced mine with a t5ho, it works better but I think its because of the reflectors mainly.

CFL would probably fit the best for the space. Short vegging period though.
