    Is it time to LST?

I have 6 plants, indoor grow, under 8 cfl's, a mix of cool white and daylight (i know) and one 175w MH (soon to be doubled to two when I get a new ballast) and the plants are 15 days old, and I am planning on LST'ing and FIM'ing all of them.

Is it time to start LST'ing based on my pics or should I wait a few more days? I'm planning on using the "coat hanger hook into the soil" method.

    Thanks!

Sorry, I can imagine this thread is meaningless without pictures.

Does one continue to tie down the plant after changing the light cycle to 12/12 or do you stop messing with them then?

    Thanks!

well if you already tied down during veg, and you have enough light penatration durning flowering it should be fine. Although since the plant will stretch when flowering i always find something i can tie down and improve on, its really up to you whether you think your plant is getting enough light......but sometimes if you wait too long the plant can get really tough stems that make tying down much more difficult

I see so continuing the process into flowering isn't going to adversely affect the plant, which is what I was concerned about. It would be more convenient to start in a couple of weeks, as the in-laws will be gone...

Your gonna have to wait till the are a bit taller! Then when your able to bend the main stem in an arch somewhat, you will get the best results! I would wait till I put them in flowering mode. You can train them about a week or so before you flower! They will respond! You'll then have the honor of more than 1 main cola!

That honor is exactly what I'm looking for in this grow...I guess I'll let em go for another week or two before I start to encourage them to grow the way I want them to grow...

    Thanks!
