I am using Pure Blend Pro Grow. It is marketed as a soil/coco veg nute. I do have the cal-mag plus and have started using that but growth is stopped. I am just starting out in veg and honestly these clones have never really gotten up to speed.

I decided to try AN pirhana to introduce mycorrhizae into the coco. I also added some Voodoo Juice and Carboload. The result was a fairly rapid rise in PH. I didn't catch it for a few waterings and the solution I watered with continued to become more alkaline. When I checked the runoff PH it was at 6.8 and I have been fighting to get it to come down. I think I am still feeling the effects of the additives settling out in the Coco. I did some research(After the fact..Duh!) at the AN forum and they recommend letting their fungus and microbe products to settle out before trying to do a final PH adjustment.

Now I am in the situation where I think I know what is happening but I am wondering if the coco is somehow buffering the ph and not letting it come down.

I also read that I am probably watering too much. I am top feeding by hand right now just until they go into 2 gallon pots then I will be top feeding with a pump/timer. There are quite a few coco guys on the an site and I at least got some info from guys that have been using coco for a few years.

I am keeping fingers crossed they pick up again.

Thanks Bear
CaliJay Reviewed by CaliJay on . How to adjust PH in Coco? I am trying to bring down the PH in my Bio-Bizz coco and It is not coming down??? I am using 50/50 coco and perlite. My 1/4 strength nute solution is currently running to waste. The water is going in at 5.2 and coming out at 6.2-6.5. I have run 10 times the containers volume through and the ph won't come down. Any ideas? Thanks -J Rating: 5
