    Rambling Mind

I was diagnosed with adult ADD. My doctor prescribed Strattera. I took that shit for a week and said Hells NO. Didn't like the side effects and I started researching and finding that some people were having a hell of a time with this 'non-stimulant' drug. HAHAHAHA LOL! The drug companies have lobbied enough to start lying to the public. It is a stimulant and I could feel this one-sized-fits-all drug. It kinda felt like I was stoned. I know this approach is good for some folks, but it wasn't for me. I looked into alternatives and found some good resources.
I am very happy with how I've felt since starting a supplement regimen. I mean, I wasn't looking for a pill to fix me. I made life-style and diet adjustments and have made an effort to re-focus. Taking these natural supplements consistently, just like one would need to do with meds, is key. My current supplemental diet is, more or less - and I'm not a freak about all of these everyday:
Omega-3 fish oils (or Flax Seed)
    5-htp
    Multi-vitamin
    B-Vitamin complex
Vitamin E (helps your brain use the Omega-3 fatty acids
    L-Tyrosine (an amino acid)
acidophilus (I get mine in a daily yogurt)
    grape seed extract
    Ginkgo Biloba (sometimes...what the heck)
    co-enzyme Q10
    extra zinc and magnesium
    blue-green algae for amino acids
and there is some science research suggesting that cannabis can aid with some symptoms of ADD...

hey 420 izzle, Great post ! I am on a somewhat similiar supplement regimn for ADD/(all the other darling side effects that come with it). I have read great things about co-enzyme Q10 and would like to start taking it but man talk about $$. I was not aware Vitamin E helped with using the omega 3's thanks for the tip! Also check out Sam-e sometime. Great for mood, attention etc. I use it personally. Have a good one

Right on Realgood! Yeah...that co-enzyme Q10 is pricey. The cheapest I've found is 25$ for a bottle of 50. Still too much for me, usually.
    I feel great
