Ive done it a few times, but I used a brewing kit my mom got me lol. It turned out really good, and I think it tasted better than any store bought beer.

ive been looking into this a lot, i always want to experiment with adding cannabis, instead of hops, since hops is a distant cousin to weed.......i have the recipe somewhere laying aroun, i just need to put it to good use

Yeah I want to try the cannabis thing too.
They are closer related than that even... they are the closest living relatives of each other!

i make my own beer. i have been making beer for about 5 years. i have the homebrewkit. with 2 5 gallon glass fermenters. I now only use the mr. beer kit. it is a joke only about 30 $ takes two weeks. it tastes much better to me, but it is not really making beer. I have never made any woth a shit. they all were pale ales, that is all i can make i do not have a kegerator or room in the fridge to get the desired temps. tems are very imporant in beer making. I do not think cannabis beer is possible. Trust me go with the cheap prepackaged kits they taste better. no one even uses fresh hops anymore or grain bags....to much hassle just get the hops pellets.

Don't let yeag discourage you stinky, you can brew awesome beer at home. I used to brew beer with a friend of mine all the time. Then I moved overseas, he moved to a different state and took the equipment. Anyhow, we got pretty good and started entering homebrew competitions, even got a blue ribbon at one. Like anything, what you get out of it depends on what you put into it. Crap (like hop pellets
) in, crap out. Also, it really depends on what kind of beer you like. If you like ales, porters, and stouts you'll be happy. If you prefer lagers, like Heineken and all the American shitty beers, you're out of luck since they use a different type of yeast and colder temps.
The two big things I'd think about before making your own beer:
1. Are you clean? Making good beer is like performing surgery, you need pretty much sterile condiditons. Otherwise you'll get bacteria in the beer and it will go sour and taste like shit. If your kitchen looks like a petri dish 5 days into a middle school bio experiment , forget it.
2. Are you patient? It takes at least a month to make really good beer. Well, it takes a few hours to make it but for the best taste you need to let it age a while, like curing buds. Believe me, it's really tough to just let your hard work sit on a shelf for weeks and weeks before having a taste, but it's worth it.
For both of the above reasons, I'd be very wary of any recipe that says you can make it in a coffee pot in 5 days.
