I would have to put one hit in at a time to prevent the entire bowl from burning up excess smoke, or stamp it out, it was a really bad pipe, but all my dad had. Today I bought myself a very nice glass bowl with a carb and I heard the carb could be used to stop the bowl form burning to much smoke.
