Pinching the buds? What??

My friend Jesse told me that if you "pinch" right underneath the buds in flower, that either it will grow tremendously and have huge beautiful buds, or it will die.

I said, people touch them all the time, they don't die.

I'm 100% certain on my initial view on this.

What's up with that?

hmmm ive never heard of this, i would think that pinching it would cause more unneeded stress and perhaps decrease the bud......but i dont have any experience with this....maybe somebody else can clearify.

That almost resembles the super cropping technique that some people use when topping. There are also other techniques that fall under topping (which is what you're talking about). But, the method I know for "Super Cropping" is taking a branch between your thumb and forefinger then VERY gently "crush" the branch. Which in turn will cause your plant to become tougher and stronger (and bushier).


Just a quick warning...don't try this unless if you know other growers that know this method to topping.
