I voted for seagulls, because I like them, and to spite the cat, who wants me to buy her a small monkey. She wants to dress it up like me and beat the crap out of it, frequently. Gulls are thought of as sky rats, I know, but my mother was feeding them when she died, and I suspect she'd haunt me in the form of a gull if I voted otherwise.

Assuming that Kitty and Pussy aren't intended to mean the same thing. Then I'd have voted otherwise.
