Cd Drive help...IT WON"T OPEN

k..well my friend called me and said that he needed me to make him a cd for his friend because if he did, then his friend would hook him up with a big bag of vicidin (sp?) and he would split them with me cuz i use to hook him up all the time. Well my problem is, my cd burner drive won't open on my computer. So for all you computer wizzes out there...some help would be appreciated. And i've heard about putting the paper clip in the button on the front of the drive, but i can't seem to get that to work. So ne other ideas would be awesome. And mods...please don't delete this thread, i know the rules about talking about other drugs, but i was just trying to get the point across on why i need to make the damn cd. lol. But newayz..please help me out and list your suggestions

Not the button, it's the tiny little HOLE (usually under the cd-drawer)You poke a straight stick like a paperclip into that hole and push.It operates the eject mechanism manually.
If that dont work, then just toss that drive and go buy a new 1.(under 30$ for a cd burner)

Let's rule out anything in Windows - reboot the system and anytime BEFORE the Welcome screen, push the open/close button on the drive.

With the drive selected in My Computer, open "File" and click on "Eject" and see if that works.

Then try pushing a pin into the tiny hole near the cd drive's open/close cd tray button.

Take it as an omen. You'll probably end up getting constipation from taking the vicodins.

yea... preaty much true... just pull the whole cd burner out, toss gasoline on it... throw match on it... go to store, buy one for 15 dollars... sell the brand new CD burner for 50 bucks... buy a bag of weed...

haha thanks for the responses....i finally got it open with the paper clip method. And yeah, im pretty sure that the drive is shot. So i'll just wind up buying a new one. And usually wen i take vicodin, i know how much to take to get me feeling how i wanna feel, and i always eat before i take them so i won't get sick. Plus I'm out of weed...

plus... ive made shit loads of monney of vics... sell them for 3.50 to 4.50 american.... start the asking price at 5 dollars, and depending on the people, they will jump right up for 5 bucks...and if they wont go for that widdel the price down by .25 or 50 cents...
