Libertarianism is all about I, Me, and fuck everyone else. If you believe you should live your life without consequenses, then the libertarian lifestyle is for you.

I mean there might be some extreme libertarians that think like this, but I think the basic philosophy is personal autonomy and accountability. Laissez Faire capitalism, all markets are open and accessible, a person is free to do as they choose including use drugs, unless they violate the rights of someone else in the meantime, all that good shit. This is basically how our government was before it got all centralized and big brother with its 35 agencies came into play. This would be a lot better in my opinion, but like someone mentioned elements of socialism are definitely good for societies too. But under true capitalism, needs for programs like welfare might decrease as people can legitimize any market, and not be as easily exploited by the state or corporations.

We just need to elect people that can rationally blend all this shit. Like a stoner president. That would be fresh, he would be stopping to hit the bowl instead of drink water during speeches haha

We got plenty of stoners in here that can't agree on shit. I agree with eg on some things....not on others. Ya just have to pick the PERSON that hopefully represents your own interests. Hmmmmmmm, sounds libertarian. :S2:

Being a stoner is about all these people have in common and it certainly is not enough to establish a political party on. There are extreme Ideas on both sides and you can't please all the people. We need a flexable type of government, kinda along the libertarian lines with a social conscience. We need comprehensive medical care for all citizens and then need to cull the non-citizens from the herd. Give incentives to corporations to keep jobs in the USA, and major fines for exporting them. We need to force China to balance the trade issues and limit CEOs to reasonable salaries. we need a livable minimum wage for adult family supporters and a secondary wage to after school workers and teenagers, sort of like a first step wage. There are a million things that need to be hashed out and not any one of us has all the answers. some things that help some may hurt others, it is a balancing act. The current trend has swung too far to the right. The corporations rule and the workers are taking it up the old kazoo. The first order of business is to stop this insane war. After that, it is downhill!
