Another album (cd) for Clapton fans to check out is Roger Waters-The Prose and Cons of Hitchiking. This was Waters first album after he left Pink Floyd and he got Clapton to play guitar on it. My guess is that he figured any guitarist he had would instantly be compared to Gilmore so he'd just get one that was generally recognized as being better. One song in particular, Sexual Revolution, really has some outstanding guitar work by Clapton.

For some really mellow guitar, that still kicks ass, check out the soundtrack from the movie Rush. It's a great Clapton cd to put on when you just want to kick back and chill.
