Been there. Done that. Got the T-shirt. I now pop 3 seeds in each spot I want a plant, and cull. I, personally, have never seen a seed take longer than 8 days from dirt, usually 5; although I imagine it's quite possible to go 12 or 14.

stick it in now but just 1 to 2cm's into the dirt.
The only way to end war is to legalize weed world wide. Then people would be to stoned to fight, anyway who gets into a fight when they are high on good pot.
my other thread has my first grow it is called \"first time grower and im stumped \". i used molasses in that grow plus i spent the last month of flower in jail.

make sure your hands are clean and avoid touching the taproot....i usually use sterile tweezers.

"When is a good time to introduce light? i have three seeds that have just cracked the surface, one is about a centimeter out but the seed shell is still attached. I read somewhere that you shouldn't introduce light until there are two fan leaves? any help would be greatly appreciated!"

as soon as i see a seedling popping out of the soil, i put a cfl as close as possible with out burning the seedling

it should, but a plant that isint well taken care of when its a seedling/baby, is more prone to having problems when older

what i do is i take acouple seeds and let them soak in a glass of water for 24 hours then after 24 hours of soaking in the water just lightely tap the seeds that are floating on the watter witchever ones fall to the bottom are ready to germinate and are okay if they stay afloat throw them away there no good, By soaking them in the water it signals the seed to begin growth. After this step i take a bowl and pour hot boiled water onto it to sterolize it and then i pour more water onto a folded paper towl to fit the bottom of the bowl you then take your seed that sunk to the bottom of the glass and put them ontop of the paper towl and then wrap the top of the bowl with plastic wrap so this way you can watch it germinate. Then you just keep in a warm dark place till the seeds begin to pop out there white stems it worked for me sorry if this is hard to follow.
