    Twisted blades?

OK the plant in question is a 3 day old Northern. I grow in sunshine mix 4(soil w/ perlite) and use chemicle nutes, the pH is at about 6.5. I use a 400w MH bulb. The temp is a steady 79-80, and humidity is 28-35%. Today I flushed, transplanted then fed with 1/2 concentrated 10-10-10. Then a few hours later once they had a chance to absorbe the water I LST'ed a little to expose some branchs. Now it is only one blade on one leaf that is twisting. I don't know what it could be from...blushing...it could be any one or a combo of everything I threw at her today. On another one of my Northerns(Exact same for everything above) one of the leaves blades seem to be slightly tilted but no where near twisted. Is it just my plant recentering itself, or WTF????

I wouldn't worry too much, they grow out of it. Sometimes cool night time temps can do it and some strains like BlueBarry are more prone to it in their earlier stages of growth.

Single twisted leaves is nothing to worry about but are you already fertilizing at 3 days?

LOL! Only 1 leaf? hehehe... I have over a dozen leaves curled in odd shapes, another 2 dozen with tip burns & side burns (CFL light, not nute), and quite a few pointing in weird directions. I figured it's because of the macguyver lighting. The plants look otherwise healthy & lush, so I shrug it off as a "bad hair day". Bad hair styling don't mean shit to the body underneath. And cosmetic leaf damage don't mean shit to plants.

Volker you seem to have a heat or overfert problem. That isn't cosmetic damage.

The next step is they start fanning themselves [FAN LEAVES... get it...durrr] and then they will ask you for a cold beer.

Nope. Soory, that is not nute burn. That is from the tips of the leaves bapping into the CFL when they stretched. It is localized heat stress. It can only happen in CFL grows.

I wish you could look in the closet in person, you'd see the difference much clearer than mere photos can show: large, healthy plants with scarred leaves from bapping into the CFLs during the "stretch" phase of bud. Check out my tubgirls thread for detail on my battle with stretch.

The "curls" are from me adding sidelights. Since lights are now in all directions, different parts of some leaves will orient towards different bulbs. A very, very mild form of "hot spot", I guess. But again, merely cosmetic.

Bleh. Best I could do. Does this really look overfertilized & stressed? You can see the sidelights, which are causing curling, and the bud tops in amongst the CFLs, which I have to be careful not to let the BUD touch the light. Leaves can and do hit the lights all the time.

When the door is closed, that dark area in the lower left does get light.
