I wanted to share this with you guys. Take 18 minutes out of your life, sit back, smoke if you have it and enjoy some of the best visual art you will ever see. It is so relaxing to watch but mind blowing at the same time. I hope someone takes the time to enjoy it and let me know what you think
In a rare public appearance, photographer Gregory Colbert shares an astounding film from his exhibit, Ashes and Snow, and announces his new initiative, the Animal Copyright Foundation, which aims to collect royalties from companies using images of nature in their ad campaigns. For more than a decade, Gregory Colbert has traveled the world and collaborated with 40+ species to create "Ashes and Snow," a ground-breaking exhibition of more than 100 photographs and three films, housed in the Nomadic Museum. Colbert's extraordinary sepia-toned images reveal a rarely seen poetic beauty in man's relationship to the animal kingdom

That was amazing, very spiritual. But that guy seemed kinda weird to me, like he was hiding something.
But still that was amazing.

You guys are so cool. I am glad you took the time to watch it..
lardman..He is just a gentle, quiet and reserved person on a mission, sometimes that can be taken the wrong way. I just can't see there being anything sinister in Gregory Colbert. He has worked to save animals his entire life.

That really gave me the chills a few times, because of both the amazing footage and the message it was deliviring at the same time. An exemple was when that lady was dancing with the elephants. She was dancing the same way they were moving, or even dancing too actually, and you know, that just makes me feel like people don't do enough crazy dancing like that. Dancing literally is a form of changing one's mindstate and alter it in some way. Anyway, WE NEED TO BE CLOSER TO NATURE!! That is too true and we just don't fucking get it.
Oh, and the underwater part at the end with the two lovers getting passionately wild was hot. :rasta:
oh and lardman, like blue kitty said, I feel the guy was just nervous to be up there talking. When his picture is zoomed to fit the entire large screen behind him while he's trying to make his speech he looks a lot more suspicious. I think that's all it is.
Because I too thought he looked a little evil at first. But then again, I look evil, am basically evil, but I love animals.

I agree Cana..dancing can really be spiritual...I love the part where the whales were diving along side the swimmer. The woman moving with the birds was amazing too. I am going to use this film in meditation.
I didn't see what you guys are seeing when you say suspicious but then I have seen Gregory Colbert before. He does not do a lot of public speaking..I am nervous when I have to speak in public too.
He IS an ARTIST and we are all a little freaky.
