Hydro my friend... and I live on the coast as well! Much like you, I vegged for too long too, way too long. Things are a bit crowded down below, so I was forced to trim the bottom 1/3 of the plant. Got my humidity levels under control, and yes I have a carbon filter... right now I only run exhaust every other fiften minutes this way I can keep my temps up, so far it has worked but I have a feeling I am going to need to put em on more (lights on) soon. EXhaust is off completely during their night cycle. I am on week five right now, things are looking real good besides a nitrogen difficiency which I am working on. Have been told get em staked up now while I can before they start to fall over. How much did you yield? I stunted them a bit so I am expecting a below average yield, but still very hopeful! They look beatiful as of now and I have been told they bulk up big time in the last two weeks by several people.
