Maybe because you eat meat pumped with antibiotics and hormones and fat?
TallulahGreen Reviewed by TallulahGreen on . Gelatin My daughter came home and told me this today. I can't believe I have never heard of this. Gelatin (US spelling) or gelatine (British spelling) (used to make Jell-o and other desserts) is made from the boiled bones, skins and tendons of animals. The gelatin you eat in Jell-O comes from the collagen in cow or pig bones, hooves, and connective tissues. To make gelatin, manufacturers grind up these various parts and pre-treat them with either a strong acid or a strong base to break down Rating: 5

me too. everyone in my family eats meat at least twice a day but ever since I can remember I just couldnt do it because the texture just seems so gross. I didnt know about the animal abuse and stuff until later.

Oh, I know, it is pretty gross when you really get down into it. First, I am not against vegetarians or meat eaters. Most, if not all, were born to parents that ate meat. For me, it has been a hard thing to get away from. It is just so EASY (call me lazy if you want, cause it is true in this aspect) to just get a burger if your hungry or a big fat carne asada burrito w/extra onions. Meat fills me up and it taste good. I know there are plenty of benefits of not eating meat.
So, it is hard to switch.
My daughter wants to start eating vegetarian badly. So, I might pretty soon start getting it all together. I am sure I can do it. I just need to figure out how to shop for it and make some good recipes.

Well, I was thinking more alternatively you should try eating organic free range meat? It is far better than antibiotics and hormones. If you are interested in becoming vegetarian you should see if you have any local food cooperatives around you, they usually are a really good place to start.

My home town never had a Chinese restaurant for the first 13 years of my life... I used to feed the stray cats""" moment,,,Black and orange stray cat sittin on the fence,,,aint got enough dough to pay the rent"""... When the 1st Chinese restaurant open I started noticing my friends were not coming around... within a year of the restaurants opening there was not 1 cat feeding at my back door,,,so this is truly "Not A Myth or Urban Legend"...l
