California Orange Bud harvest: How wil I know?
Everything is looking good, feeling sticky to the touch. I guess what seems weird to me is the lack of odor. Sure I can smell it on my fingers after touching a bud, but the room doesn't smell. I have looked with an 8x film negative device and I can see the trichomes. Also there is a fair amount of orange hairs.

you need a 30x or better pocket microscope ,
if your in the u.s =10.00 from most radio shacks . need to look at the tricomes = frost , and when you see them starting to turn amber . they start out clear turn milky white and eventually amber . ppl. chose to harvest at different times to obtain a certain type of buzz also . 50/50 clear/milky = mellower buzz , 50/50 milky/amber = couch lok buzz-imobilized lol .
peace

When the Trichomes are amber that means that the THC inside is starting to degrade in quality. It does not take long for it to die off to from that point. If the Trichomes are amber and still standing tall then you are fine; but if the Trichomes are amber and falling over then it's either dead or dieing at that point.
That is why I said harvest on the average. this came from zandor he speaks the truthAnything that is said by me in these forumns is for entertainment reasons only. I in no way condone any behavior or actions that may break any laws. Anything said by my username or any other username coming from this IP ADDRESS is all information and pictures that I have gathered from all over the internet, and reposted for others to see as well. Do not take anything I say serious, for as it is all for entertainment purposes only.

I know for one I have a few close friends who prefer the mellow buzz, so I will harvest half when it's 50.50milky and clear and the other half at the couch lock point....all about preference.

OK I should have a 30X in a few days if the EBayer is a fast shipper. In the meantime I have taken a few small samples. I feel like it is just entering the cerebral stage. Admittedly I have sped up the drying with a brief stint on a food dehydrator at the highest shelf. Anyone want to guess how many days or weeks I have to go?
Also is the relative odorlessness a feature of California Orange?
How much should I be focused on nutes at this point?

You shouldn't be focused on Nutes at all...you should be focusing on flushing. As for the smell, I've had Cali Orange that was mixed with a skunk that didn't smell, and a pure Cali that smelled like a rotting corpse....so, I guess it depends. Peace.

i'd continue to use sweet or backstrap molasses to utilize the remaining nutes after flushing...

Where did you get the seeds, see what the breeder says the flowering time should be and follow that. Dutch passion's cali orange bud flowers for 8-10 weeks.

Nirvana, but I didn't keep track of when the flowering started.
What is blackstrap molasses for?
