HEPA Air Purifiers anyone?
Greetings all,
Looking for some feedback.
Reading through many of the Indoor threads, it looks as if odor is a big concern for many. It is for me as well.
I have a small bedroom that serves as the grow room which is above-ground that I need to keep odor-free and I can not vent via a window.
I am leaning towards a HEPA Air Purifier. HEPA Air Purifiers rotate air 6x an hour and good ones can be had for under $200. This is different then say the Vaportek, which serves more like a mask than an air cleaner. I want the odor killed, not masked for my money. Maybe I am wrong on this.
I wish I could cut down on my outlets. Which is another question that would be fun to kick around.
Who's using the least amount of plugs for their hydro/soil setup?

Anyone using a HEPA Air Purifier that covers about 200-250 sq feet?

You'd be better off buying a carbon filter

I have no Idea how you have it set-up, how many plants are you talking about?
Just a few?
Is this in a room not in a closet in a room?

You should start with soil, and nothing bigger than a 150 watt or 250 watt HPS
Theres just too many things you will learn as you go along and starting big is not a good thing and neither is doing hydro to start growing in either

Just crack a window if you can for venting?
And use that little carbon scubber when you flower

Since I own both, I have a bit of input for you.
Vaportek does not mask odors. It neutralizes odors and it works.
I have a Honeywell HEPA air cleaner and have had it in my growroom since I started. Weeks before flowering, all I could smell was my weed growing all over the house. It makes for really nice air, but it absolutely does not rid the odor from the room.. Since I got my vaportek 4000, my odor is GONE. I have to touch my leaves and sniff to smell the plants.
So for my money, the HEPA cleaner is excellent for cleaning the air, and the Vaportek is perfect for neutralizing the odor.
I don't own a carbon scrubber.

Thanks all for your input.
I also found a cheap way to build your own Odor Neutralizing Machine.
Step by step and with good reviews.
