Most of the heartless pricks here are forgetting that if someone commits suicide, the chances of that person carrying mental/emotional issues like depression are good, and do the act not out of selfishness, which is asinine to even bring up, but out of the fact that they were so lost in their depression, and didn't receive help in time. It's not normal to want to kill yourself.
Too bad Chris didn't get help for his demons...
As for those that clearly do not understand how depression and suicide coincide, might want to learn a thing or two before making a fool out of yourselves.
I sympathize with him and his family, as should all of you.
R.I.P. ~

Suicidal people want sympathy. They need someone to help them heal, and they reach out in manners that are inappropriate, since they're so far into depression. Yea, I'm glad we agree on that.
So how is saying "Suicide is selfish, grow up and be happy" going to help them? I hope to god some of you never have a suicidal friend/family member...

yeah, but hardly anyone ever seems to realize just how bad off they really were, until they try or do commit suicide.... or go on a mass-murder rampage... until then it's 'quit being a baby suck it up and get through it' for all we know he tried to reach out, and tried to get help and no one took him seriously... then all of a sudden he's a bad person when he went through with it.... hell there's a whole group(a large one at that) of people who don't even believe in depression, think people are just trying to get attention and ignore the problems at hand...

This makes sense as most peeps in this thread can't even understand why someone would commit suicide...

The Japanese, in times gone by, found it honorable to kill themselves as opposed to suffering disgrace. When the US invaded Vietnam, thousands of frightened villagers jumped off cliffs to their deaths. Look at all the suicide bombers who think they'll be glorified in the afterlife for what they do. Personally I think suicide is selfish but I can say this much, sometimes things can seem so bleak that death is almost acceptable and if it weren't for cowardice I might actually have done it myself but I hung in there through all that fucked up teen shit. Then I thought about other peoples' lives, like the children in Africa, and adults for that matter, who eat one grain of rice a day, live in harsh poverty and suffer horrific things daily but don't kill themselves. I felt like a first rate pussy! Pitiful old me had a bad week or a bad month and I couldn't maintain? Please! Peace.

When a person gets caught embezzling and cant face the humility,,,that to me is selfish... if a person can't see the forest from the trees he needs light to guide him...
