    Rhinitis after long-term use

hi guys ! just a quick one !

i have been smoking cannabis now for 5 years, i have always smoked it pure in a pipe or bong, and have never smoked a cigarette in my life.Up until 2 months ago i came down with rhinitis which is caused by infection or inflammation of the sinuses due to allergy !
i am at my wits end as it's taking ages to clear up and even when i toke from my vaporizer i get massive pain throughout my sinuses plus headaches, tooth pain and earache. i was just wondering if anyone else had suffered rhinitis or any other type of sinus infection after smoking cannabis regulary ?

i'm having to go without any weed and it's really annoying me, and i hope and pray it clears up soon and weed isn't the cause !

    thanks for your time !

allergic rhinitis isnt from cannabis....it is caused by what is called an inhaled allergen, like molds, pollens, etc...you can also get it from a cold or something...it isnt from smoking though..sounds like you need another doctor...try an allergist..

I don't want to blame the weed, though vaporizing and smoking in themselves may be irritating the situation. Why don't you make yourself some ganja food to chow down on?

    Ganja butter = yum!

    Rhinitis after long-term use

I had the same thing, Stayaway, when I was smoking last summer. It dried out and irritated my sinuses, my nose, my eyes and made me sneeze and aggravated my asthma. I definitely had some allergic reaction to it. Cannabis smoking does that to a good many people, at least according to an allergist friend of ours who knew we were using it for my sister's chemo symptoms and knew I was toking with her. He suggested I take a small dose of Benadryl before I smoked to help alleviate those symptoms. And I was never sure that the actual runny nose part of the allergies wasn't from the fact that we smoked outside amongst all the pollen and dust and grass clippings instead of inside in filtered air. I'm allergic to nearly every plant substance on earth, sadly, so it was no surprise. I'm always sneezing and itching and having a runny nose, no matter what season.
