Just got back from the hospital...

Hello everyone. I haven't been on much lately, but now that I am bedridden for a couple months you should be hearing a lot more from me. I was on a ski trip throughout BC/Alberta over New Years, and on the final mountain of the trip and the final run, I hit a huge kicker and didn't land so well My brother helped talk me through the pain and the ski patrol eventually came and took me to the bottom. After an ambulance ride to the hostpital that I don't even remember, I was told that I had broken my femur. They transfered me to the Calgary Foothills Hospital, where I had surgery and spent 6 days recovering.

I am at home now, finally, and I am feeling much better. 6 weeks before I can leave the house though, and 4 months before I can walk again. The good news is that I am now part titanium, and I have an oz. of weed here to keep me company. Occasionally, I get visitors and we smoke up :jointsmile: Anyways, I will be stopping in here a few times a day for sure now that I have so much time on my hands. Thanks for listening to my troubles. It's nice to have such great people to relate to on the boards here.

Hey I'm glad that you are patched back together all right!
Skiing is am awesome time- I dislocated 2 ribs in a ski accident a while back- but never give it up obviously!!!
If I lived closer I'd bring over some homegrown as a get well present!

I hope you have a speedy recovery...enjoy the down time...before i switched to boarding. I was in a ski accident that scared the shit out of me. i was going down a black diamond trail , everything was going great until i hit the moguls..i hit he first one wrong and it got worse. i jabbed the grip on the pole in my neck...no permanent damage but it did partly collapse my trachea. it was tough as hell to get down to be helped.

Ugh moguls are a pain in the ass.
My accident was in the terrain park, 3 jumps in a row, nailed the first, sloppy on the second, resulting in too much air and SLAMMED into the very top of the third.

Shit guys, both those accidents sound shitty. Pole in the throat. Ouch! I've done what you have done too Stinky, but they were small jumps and I didn't get injured that time. I wish you could bring over some home grown :jointsmile: The lamest part about laying here is that I never have anyone to smoke with. ppl pop in like once a day, if I'm lucky.
