grow in a tree
First, If you try growing in trees, I hope that you have the very best of results possible. However, it really sounds like a hell of a lot of effort per plant to me. Take it from someone who has tried just about every kind of spot for more than 10 yrs now, the best spots are in thick brush. Thick brush, thorns, vines, blackberries, etc. Stuff thats thick and nasty and that nobody is going to go walking through it for no apparant reason. Places that are snake magnets, insect infestations, poisen ivy, etc. Places that you can go in and clear out a small patch and do it without being seen from outside of it. Your best friends are a shovel, a pair of sharp pruning shears, a small hand type tree saw, and most important a pair of thorn proof chaps. Clear out and dig up a patch big enough for like 1-3 plants. Stay away from swampy areas too, its nothing but mold problems at the end of it all. I hope you have good results wherever you decide to plant.
