When when when ???

Hi all, here is a few photo's of my first hydro cab grow, got a couple of question's, when do i start 12/12, they are currently 7 weeks old under 2x125w cfl's, i got a 250w hps to use but just not sure when to change over, the strain is called ice from rhino seed, said 8-9 weeks, but what does this mean, should i change 8-9 weeks to 12/12 or is that the totall time form seed to bud? Sorry people for the lame ass question's but if you dont ask you end up with 6 males/heme's see previous post . p.s do they look ok to you? nice one pep's.

A good time to switch the lighting is when you start to see pre-flowers. It's a sure sign of maturity. Other things to consider are height and space. Your gals will probably double, even triple in size during flowering, so consider that as a guide when to flower. The 8-9 weeks is how long it will take your mature plant to flower. You could switch to HPS now. Your plants will like the light, just make sure to keep them at least 12" away from the bulb! Peace!
