What is a good option if you dont have a pH meter (which you need)
get some additive maybe a sugar supplement like "Sweet" by General hydroponics. IT has pH buffers in it, so when u mix it up it's always around 6.4. And you can feed it with every watering.

Also, if you have synthetic nutes they also have buffers.

I like to pH my soil. or buy soil that i know the pH of. it avoids a lot of problems. pH is HUGE i cant stress that enough
harris7 Reviewed by harris7 on . Fan leaves Problem during Flowering? Ok, here's the lowdown: 2nd grow, soil, 3 gal pot, Fox Farm nutes, 400 hps. My fan leaves are dying. First the tips turned brown, then the edges of the leaves, now they are yellowing from the edges inward. It will soon take over the whole leaf, shrivel up and the leaves will die. Happened during first grow right during flowering and progressed till the end of flowering. None of my trichs turned brown yet but all my fan leaves shriveled up and died. Does anyone know? P.S. I water when pot Rating: 5
