I burned the shit out of my hand today

This guy I used to know blew himself up in his house after the "genius" decided to make Butane oil, with no ventilation, even after I told him not to. He got 3rd deg. burns on 30% of his body.

So don't feel bad. People have done dumber things out there, but at least you can admit to this silly act. Now you know for next time, if something is giving off heat, the object that is doing so, will be even hotter.

Dude, toasters suck. Get a toaster oven. You'll know the shits hot cause you can actually see the elements glowing. And well you can do a lot more with that than a toaster.

Now after all the juvenile comments, may I suggest that besides the good advice of using water to cool it down (obviously a bit too late to do now), that you get out some benzocaine based toothache remedy. You know how the dentist numbs your gum with a liquid on a swab before he sticks you with a needle? Well, the stuff he was using is benzocaine. The extra strength stuff is 20% benzocaine - that's 1/5 for those of you who have trouble with math. It is great for burns and bug bites! Just rub a dab on and in a minute or so, no more pain or itch! I keep a little tube of it in my "humongous" purse- it's useful stuff.- Granny :stoned:

He would be much better off going to Wal * Mart and buying a Aloe plant... Break a piece off the Aloe plant and rub it on the wound,,,you will just say aaahhh...

I did put some aloe vera lotion on it and that did help with the burn. I love that stuff. It is almost completely gone now. Thanks for the advice skink and granny.

And anyone else who didn't make a smart ass comment... Not that I can really get mad at you because I make a lot of those comments too.

Check it... I have a aloe plant just for this purpose... I'm a plumber and a soldering past burn really sucks,,,a peice of aloe takes the pain away and makes it feel cool...
