I burned the shit out of my hand today
Yeah, so I was toasting bread and noticed the air was very hot around the toaster, so I put my hand on the side to see how hot the toaster has gotten. Not the smartest idea, but in my defense I'm not used to a completely metal toaster. Mine and every other one I remember using lately is plasitc on the outside so you don't burn your fucking hand.
I know have like 5 welps on two fingers of my hand because my dumbass wanted to see just how hot it was getting.
I should sue...

next time you want to touch something that's metal that's obviously hot, wet your hand first, and barely 'tap' it... it prevents it from actually burning your skin, you'll still feel the heat, and maybe even feel like you burned yourself for a good 20 minutes (depending on how hot it is) but you're not going to be feeling the pain for hours and definately won't actually leave marks... i used to test how out my oil was (when i'd go to fry something, i used to have a bad habbit of putting shit in way before it was hot enough to cook) by wetting my finger down, and 'tapping' it into the oil...

The toast was fine, I was just thinking it was the normal plastic toaster. This thing was all metal with just a little plastic in the front for the nobs. The shittiest peice of equipment I have come across in a while.

I did something similar, I was in my bathroom washing my hands and my light bulb seemed to be putting off alot of heat so I grabbed it to check it out and needless to say I had welts on most of my left hand for about 4-5 days and man did it hurt haha but I didnt have to do a few school essays so it wasnt all bad.

I think the real question here is: why would you want to feel anything that is obviously hot? Shouldn't a person with any small amount of common sense, realize that touching something that is giving off heat, may be even hotter, if I touch it? Ah, interesting quarrel we have come accross.
