Cold water or hot water are your best choices.

I've heard of people using tea, Gatorade, and Listerine, but I'm not sure how healthy it would be. Dry rice is also a good choice.

If you're not going to stick to water (which you really should) then just make sure whatever you use doesn't have a lot of fat or alcohol in it, as THC will be absorbed.

If your aiming for something that will be least irritating to your lungs, I'd try using listerine.

noob? lol. thc is fat/alcohol soluble. sure you'll still get high, but some of the thc will be absorbed into the liquid. here's an idea.. use whole milk, smoke a bong load, then drink the milk? O.o

please dont use listerine . as others said the alcohol will absorb thc.

there have been other topics about using rice which def works well. i want to try using marbles in the bong. i think it would work really well. the smoke would have a long and complicated journey thru the marbles, cooling it, and then into YO BRAIN!!!
