The best experience I ever had was hiking along a ridge top in a storm. Sleet stung my face and water dripped off my hair. Every breath of air felt charged with the energy of the storm.

One of my favorite things to do is to go for a walk in the rain and follow water to see where it goes. I'll pick a small rivulet and see how far I can follow it. It is amazing how entertaining this is.

Bad weather makes for the most intense experiences. Everything is different. Leaves shine. Clouds boil. Creeks pulse with power. Small streams become scary. You can sit and listen to bolders being bounced along the bottom. Sometimes just when you think the weather is so bad you can't take it any more, a beam of light will shine through the clouds and you will remember why you are there.
