identifying mold with a magnifying glass

unfortunately i don't have a microscope but i do have a hand held magnifying glass. is that enough magnification to find mold? what should i be looking for? sometimes i can't really tell if the bud is moldy or if it just has a nice covering of trichomes. i'm aware of the white cotton like mold but what other molds can affect bud? i saw that picture that was posted of mold rotting a nug and it's never anything like that. it's just so hard to tell because of the huge variation between different buds. any info would be much appreciated. sorry for all the mold questions i'm just trying to keep me and my friends safe.

Well I'm glad you are careful!
The other thing you should be on the lookout for with your mag is a powdery greyish substance, like very fine dust, or buds that have inexplicable brown patches on them.

thanks for the input. i'm just getting totally frustrated with even trying to get bud around here. everything i get has a problem with it. even the $65 an eighter stuff is either totally wet, tastes like fertilizer, or has some kind of mold on it. it's just scary that people don't know about this. everyone i smoke with calls me paranoid but literally everything i get from regs to dank is messed up. i'm sitting here right now with a bag of bud that looks and smells amazing but tastes like chemicals and has that "dusty" dull type look. total bummer.
