MOLD?!

i bout a qp of some nice chronic and the bags that werent opened all that often started to mold on sum buds...atleast i think it was mold(sry no pics, wuz goin to but wuz a lil worried so trimmed all off) it was white and some spots fuzzy. how bad is that? black mold is the real bad one rite? so wha bout tha white? like i said i trimmed off the moldy spots off the buds n let all tha buds air/dry out a bit...will it b ok to smoke it still, or should i trash it all? >< it didnt get all that moldy cuaght it at tha rite time i guess but still...its mold, n i jus wanna make sure tha buds will still b ok or not.... any help would b greatly appreciated... thnx

as for mold, yea, it happened to me once. I trimmed it off like you did, let it dry out for a while...and I smoked it. It was a weird experience...the high didn't seem to be affected, but the smoke and taste was very strange. I still don't think it was a good idea to smoke that bud that one day.

If I wasn't on my lunch break I'd research some more for ya, but time is short!

koo....so jus as long as i get off all the mold(atleast all the mold i can c) n dry it out a bit it should b ok to smoke? ive been smokin some, jus not tha buds that had mold on them but from the same bag...n i havent felt sick or ne thing and neither has ne of my friends that have smoked wit me! thnx

yeah dont smoke the mold. simply singe it off with a lighter, but dont brethe it in.

i wish it was that simple but unforunately its not. when mold is growing, before its even visible, mycelium (little white hairs looking) spreads throughout the ENTIRE host (your bud) and its only visible where it really builds up. even if you trimmed off the visible mold, its still EVERYWHERE in your bud.

if you smoke it, it can and probably will make you sick, or even kill you.

i mean its mold.... people die from just breathing in small amounts that are growing in their basement.....dont tell me you are going to smoke it and hold it in your lungs
