sorry for the history schpeel, but seriously, how do you figure the arabs are the "rightful" owners of the land??
Judaism is a just a religion and what we call "Judaism" today was formed after the Babylonian exile when it was mixed with Babylonian religion...hence the idea of good and evil and the concept of a Devil. What we call the "Old Testament" could possibly be written in the 400-500's BC although fundamentalists will take it that it was written by Moses during the Sinai wandering around 1400 BC.

You were missing the point though. Today's Arabs and the Jews of the past pretty much shared the same Semetic genetics, so hence that is why they are called brothers. They were the same people! They were not white people as most Jews are today. They were what you would call today's Arabs.

Now the Jews were expelled from that land during the Exile and hence we have the Lost Tribes of Israel who went to other lands and were never heard from again because they adapted to the cultures and customs of the peoples they came in contact with. When the Jews returned to Palestine, they rebuilt the Temple and then they were occupied by the Romans in which they were finally expelled when Titus destroyed Herod's Temple. They again spread out keeping their religion but now they were white and of European genetics now.

The concept of Zionism was actually conceived in the 19th century, so it is rather new. The British encouraged Jews to settle Palestine. For what reason, that bewilders me. I don't see how they could not have foreseen problems with the Muslim Arabs.

To me, Zionism is pretty dangerous because it is based on a radical view of the Bible and its the same as the Muslim jihadist's radical view of the Quran. The radical Jews are just as guilty as the radical Muslims.

I don't think any person with a clear and rational mind would think its a good idea for radical Jews to retake a land that was taken thousands of years ago.

You don't see Zoroastrians killing Muslims to take back Iran do you? You don't see Druids killing Christians to take back Europe after the Christianizing do you? Because they have gotten over it and have accepted it and have moved on. Why can't the Jews accept this?

History is history my friend. If you are so obsessed and want to defend giving back the Jews the land that they were exiled from 2,000 years ago, you have problems and need a hobby. The Americans did not make slavery illegal until the Emancipation Proclamation in 1865, and yet the Americans have still not made reparations for enslaving blacks. Whenever I talk to an American about that, a good chunk say that they shouldn't because they didn't enslave them and they believe the past is the past. And you want to say that America should support and defend Israel an take away the land that Arabs have been living on for 2,000 years? Doesn't make sense and it is damn fishy to me. And don't use the Holocaust as an excuse for Israel being there. I agree to an extent that the Holocaust was exaggerated. The schoolbooks forget to mention that Hitler killed more people then Jews. He first killed communists.

Would you like it if the North American Natives said one day to the Americans and Canadians "We want our land back that you took from us in blood, and if you do not give it back to us, we will kill you and your children"? I mean the Americans did put the Indians on reservations, but yet you don't see them today shouting violent slogans.

Believe me...I am not anti-semitic at all and I think it would be wonderful for these people to live side by side as they are rooted in the same religious and philosophical beliefs. But killing each other in Jehovah's or Allah's name and driving the Arabs off of their land is wrong and immoral and I will not support the current state of Israel unless Palestinians and Jews agree to have a SECULAR and democratic state in that region where both Jews and Muslims can live and worship together.

Also, what do you think Jesus would say about this? Jesus looked just like an Arab and I he would definitely not approve of the genocide and would tell the Jews to forget about having their own religious state because it will only lead to more violence and chaos.
