Nope, red eye is blood vessels expanding in your eyes :stoned:

Cottonmouth is from the tightening of Saliva glands - it can be from dehydration but you can get cottonmouth 5 mins after smoking, even when fully hydrated.

You can also drink a shit load and still have cottonmouth - again because of the tightening of saliva glands - most smokers have probably experienced this.

Oh and ....

That's why eye-drops like Visine work, they constrict the blood vessels in your eye (they don't drop your blood pressure!) and the red-eye goes away.

NO NO NO , listen to me dude when i first started i was the same way and thought i couldnt get high........but a friend told me to try taking small puffs and take allot of oxigen in with it......after i started doing this it worked bro!
some peolpe might argue there is no wrong way to smoke but i believe there is dude....

yeah the guy who said cotton mouth and redeye are a product of solely the smoke and not the weed is an idiot, otherwise everyone who smoked cigarettes would look like like a stoner. and if youve ever smoke a cigarette or cigar or stood by a camp fire etc, you know it doesnt do those things. actually campfires really dry my eyes out but they dont get red but that isnt the point
