Honestly, I understand protecting a 14 - 16 yrs from some guy my age now (28yrs +) but it is totally f*cked up when the age difference is so close to pursue a technical legal action. It was in the news not too long about this black varsity football player that was an honor role student got busted for statutory rape with his HS gf who was either 16yrs or 17yrs... He got 10yrs in prison. Tell me that isnt FUCKED up. The guy just happened to turn 18 while in his senior year and got put in prison for dating his HS sweetheart.

Both the judge and DA should burn in hell for ruining a kids life with a bright future like that... Those laws werent intended to be used like that... But anyhow, be careful... If you're in the wrong income bracket or the wrong race and you get a over-zealous DA and judge you never know what may happen.

i heard about a story just like this on a talk show, and the guy actually got out of prison the next year because they took the case before the supreme court and proved the same point you did, that the law if for protecting young girls from OLD predators.

it just sucks that his athletics and grades got all effed up because of that stupid girl...

wen i was 15 i dated someone who was 18 for along ass time ... it worked fine ... age was not the problem in the least in our relationship ... although it was funny (well it is too me now) wen he made a secrete video tape of us and didnt tell me and showed it to his friends then brought it to school and got suspended ... everyone called him r.kelly ... not bc there was piss anywhere in that video but u kno the whole underage thing ... im still called paris hilton ... what can u do though

listen me and my ex went through the same thing. i mean thats why we broke up im 18 and she is 15. but i mean i love her and she loves me too. she is my best friend and nothing has changed. i mean she still to this day tells me she loves me. but u know. if u want u can date her i mean its not really a big deal. in 3 years she will be your age. what i would do if i were u, i would plant it in her head that u mean alot to her. so even if u never go out. when she turns 18 ur the fist on her list. become like her best friend and then u will be ok. but the choice is really on u. im in college now so i had to let her go plus i like older women better lol. but i know that when she turns 18 im the fist she is going to call, and we will most likely be together for the rest of our lives.just dont fuck it up lol.
