Listen, I had a really bad incident with this shit, so I really know what I'm talking about here.... basically, when she's 15, she's off limits. Wait until she's 16. Even if you're not going to have sex, because the minute you 'accidently' get lost in passion, you're putting yourself in jail also police can charge you with all sorts of fucked up laws like enticing a minor, which means the minute you kiss her, you're 'enticing' her. What's a year anyway if you REALLY think you like her and you're already friends? I dunno, that's just my opinion.

Secondly, I have to argue the age difference is pretty great.

You can't compare a 43 year old dating a 40 year old to an 18 y/o dating a 15 y/o. There is a big difference in maturity (in most cases) between those three years. Seriously dude, I would suggest not doing anything. Be friends if you like and wait until she is 17.
